What is

operation ray of light

Our goal is to provide an environment where veterans can acknowledge their traumatic experiences and share the emotional challenges they face daily. They can learn how to handle PTSD symptoms and often find comfort in knowing that they aren’t alone. We provide direct peer support by giving vets the opportunity to decompress with other veterans, overcome the challenges of PTSD and assist in connecting with various other community & veteran resources to help meet the veterans needs. We meet with other vet organizations within the state to learn what is available to help improve the quality of life for our veterans.

While it may be the Veterans who’ve had the traumatic experience; families and other support systems are effected by PTSD. We believe it’s important for family members / caregivers of veterans with PTSD to also have access to support and resources. We foster fellowship with promoting good mental well-being among Veterans and their families. This is achieved through various means such as group meetings, family outings and one on one connections. Some of activities include bass fishing day, ice fishing, Patty’s Pontoon Day, barbecues and more. We are hoping to add more adventures throughout the 2024 year so check out our facebook groups page for our regular updates.

Operation Ray of Light is a registered 501(c)3

Many of the group activities are overseen by an experienced mental health professional.
